To be completely honest with you, I don’t have a massive wall of theology degrees, and I definitely don't claim to know everything when it comes to Church teachings or complex ministry models. At the end of the day, I’m just a normal lay Catholic who loves Jesus, is completely in awe of what the Holy Spirit is doing across the earth right now, and decided to start stepping out in faith to use my gifts for the Kingdom.
My journey with the Lord started when I converted to the Catholic faith at 17 years old. More recently, I’ve experienced a deep, specific call to help wake up the Church here in Australia and beyond. I’m constantly looking for and encouraging the "fire-starters" in our pews, because I truly believe the Holy Spirit wants to use regular, everyday people to set our communities ablaze with God’s love.
My husband, Adam, and I have a beautiful, busy blended family of seven kids and two gorgeous grandchildren. Balancing a giant family, running a business, teaching and serving at church means life is beautifully messy, completely normal, and deeply rooted in the everyday reality of lay life.
The Professional Engine: Inspire Training International
Before I ever stepped into formal ministry work, my day job was (and still is!) in the corporate and educational world. I spent 22 years owning and running my own private Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Today, I work as a teacher, consultant, and executive coach across both the public and private vocational education sectors, focusing heavily on leadership, management, and business.
I have a deep love for teaching, inspiring, empowering, and equipping people to realise what they are truly capable of. In my coaching practice through Inspire Training International, I combine decades of real-world business experience with some really cool, practical brain science tools:
NeuroFlow™ Certified Coach: I use proven brain-based tools to help people break through mental blocks, manage stress, and operate at their absolute best.
HBDI® Whole Brain Practitioner: I'm certified in "Whole Brain Thinking," a framework that helps me look at how different people think and communicate so we can turn stuck, frustrated teams into highly collaborative powerhouses.
My personal mission statement is simple, and it drives everything I do in business and life:

The Spiritual Engine: The Rekindle Project & Our Story
The Rekindle Project didn’t start in a boardroom; it started in my prayer chair! After completing Year 2 of the Encounter School of Ministry, I was praying and asking God how He wanted to use me. Right there in prayer, I felt a distinct, unmistakable nudge from the Holy Spirit to start a prayer ministry in our local parish.
I approached our parish priest, Fr. John Ho, and shared what was on my heart. He graciously agreed to let us move forward. We didn't just rush into it; we spent serious time in prayer and discernment, utilising the Divine Renovation Missional Prayer Module to lay a solid foundation. With that backing, we launched the parish prayer ministry.
Shortly after we launched, the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference released their document, Gifted for the Mission: An Introduction to Charisms. Reading that, I felt a burning compulsion to develop a structured, safe training program that could actually equip everyday parishioners to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. That is exactly where the Harness the Power of Prayer program was born.
Before long, I felt a strong call from the Lord to take this training outside the walls of our own parish—to act as a conduit for the Holy Spirit to move in other communities. That is when The Rekindle Project was formally established.

The "Harness the Power of Prayer" Program
The absolute heartbeat of this ministry is our Harness the Power of Prayer program. This isn't a complex, dry theological lecture series. It is a highly practical training program that lays the foundations and actually activates regular Parishioners to start using supernatural spiritual gifts (charisms) like intercession, prophecy, and healing in daily life and ministry. I want people to read about this program and realise, "Wow, I could actually do that too!"
Next steps
We give parishes the exact, hands-on tools they need to train a tight-knit core team to pray for others safely, effectively, and in complete alignment and under the authority of their Parish Priest. The goal is to completely shift the culture of a parish away from silent, quiet discomfort and into a vibrant culture of sharing raw testimonies and witnessing the living love of Jesus
Digging Deeper: Formation & Keeping It Safe
Even though I’m a normal lay person, I take training and church safety incredibly seriously. I don't want anyone just "winging it" when it comes to praying with people. To make sure everything we do is grounded, doctrinally sound, and safe, I’ve deeply immersed myself in world-class Catholic formation:
Encounter School of Ministry (Graduate & Year 3 Facilitator): Going through Encounter completely transformed how I view the Holy Spirit. As a graduate and a Year 3 Facilitator, I love helping people understand that signs, wonders, and spiritual gifts aren't just for the saints in history books—they are standard equipment for normal Christian discipleship today!
Soon-to-be Called & Gifted Facilitator: I am currently training with the Catherine of Siena Institute to facilitate the Called & Gifted discernment process. This gives us a systematic, beautiful way to help Catholics unpack exactly what their spiritual gifts are so they can move from just sitting in the pews to active in the mission of the Church.
Doctrinally Sound & Trustworthy: Everything we teach sits firmly within the heart of the Church, mirroring the beautiful calls for lay co-responsibility from Pope Leo XIII (Divinum Illud Munus), Pope St. John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis (Evangelii Gaudium). We lean heavily on the biblical scholarship of Dr. Mary Healy (Professor of Sacred Scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary and member of the Pontifical Biblical Commission) to understand the supernatural charisms. Furthermore, our training builds directly upon Sherry Weddell’s groundbreaking work in Forming Intentional Disciples and the Called & Gifted program from the Catherine of Siena Institute. Both women are completely respected, trusted leaders whose models for charism activation, intentional intercession, and gift discernment are deeply grounded in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Magisterium, ensuring our teams are formed in solid, uncompromised Catholic truth.
In the Trenches at My Local Parish
I don't teach this stuff from an ivory tower—I’m right there in the trenches of parish life with you. I am blessed to actively serve on the Parish Leadership Team (PLT) at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Campbelltown, NSW. Alongside our fantastic Parish Priest Fr Hohn Ho, our awesome Assistant Parish Priest, Fr. Richard Healey and other dynamic committed lay leaders. Fr Richard and I lead our local prayer ministry team with a dedicated passionate group of prayer ministers who serve on the ground.
My deep hope and prayer for you is that you will be inspired to discover your unique spiritual charisms and uncover exactly what God has put in your heart and on this earth to do. As Sacred Scripture reminds us:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." (1 Corinthians 12:4–7)
I pray that the flame of Christ’s love be radically rekindled in your heart, transforming you into that spark—that fire-starter—in your own family, workplace, parish and community. We need regular lay Catholics to step out onto the frontlines of the New Evangelisation, operating as true missionary disciples to set our communities ablaze with the Gospel.
As you begin this journey of faith, I leave you with this truth:
"The God-given purpose of your life is to become the person you were born to be. That may take a lifetime, but if you choose, it can become the time of your life."
